A forward thinking nursery, we are constantly adding to our portfolio of services on offer, so please follow us on facebook to keep up with all the latest news. All parents can track their child's day at any time using the Little Vista app. Ask any manager for more details.

Enjoy perusing our website but please get in touch to arrange a visit to see if Little Rays Nursery could be your child's home from home...

Mission Statement

At Little Rays we are inspired by the Curiosity Approach promoting awe and wonder in children’s learning – to ignite a child’s natural curiosity to explore the world around them.

Our approach is based on child-led learning and In The Moment Spontaneous planning. Therefore, children make their own choices, and figure things out for themselves which leads to enhanced confidence, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

This approach draws ideas from other philosophies of other early educators including Reggio Emilia, Pikler, and Steiner. Our aims is to encourage children who are ‘thinkers and doers’ instead of passive learners who simply follow the direction of adults.

We also endorse a Hygge approach in all our environments and age groups. Hygge emphasises finding well-being and contentment in the simple pleasures of everyday life. Hygge foster’s feelings of cosiness, happiness, and familiarity, promoting a sense of security and well-being for children. To do this we have soft lighting in all rooms, cosy dens and neutral wall displays. This promotes a homely environment where children and adults feel content and relaxed.

We continually look at ways of improving our service to ensure each child receives total quality care, and we always welcome suggestions from parents.
