Little Rays was established in 1993 at its Queensway site by Michelle Rea. It was in 2004 that Kieron came on board and the Little Rays family began to expand with nurseries in Ballymena and Moira.
It’s aim is to provide a homely, welcoming, safe and stimulating environment for children from 2 months to 12 years.
All staff are fully qualified and have current Child Protection training. A high number of staff also have First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene Certificates. Each nursery has it’s own Designated Child Protection Officers.

Outdoor play forms such an important part of a child’s activities and Little Rays promotes this on a daily basis, weather permitting !
An experienced cook is on site in each nursery to provide a nutritious, home cooked 2 course meal. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh every day and no processed foods are served. Lunch menus run on a 4 weekly rota and are changed seasonally. Fresh fruit and vegetables are offered at daily snack times, along with fresh milk . All Little Rays nurseries have 5 stars awarded from their local Health Authority.

Jo Jingles visits Little Rays every week and provides a varied and exciting music and movement experience for all the children.
To fully appreciate all the activities that take place on a daily basis a visit is recommended. Everyone is welcome to arrange a visit at a time that suits or just call in.
