About Us

Little Rays was established in 1993 by Michelle Rea, and has grown from one small nursery caring for just  30 children to the award winning well respected group it is today. Led by husband and wife duo Michelle and Kieron Rea, Little Rays are passionate about providing top quality care. All staff are fully qualified and experienced, with many being long serving members of the Little Rays family from the beginning.

With day nurseries in three locations across Northern Ireland in Moira, Lisburn and Ballymena along with playgroups in Brownlee Primary School, Moira and Lambeg, Little Rays offers both Nursery and Pre-School places. A number of PEAG funded places are available.

Little Rays aims to provide a homely, relaxed atmosphere where children can learn through play whilst having great fun. Each child is encouraged to develop at their own rate and activities are provided accordingly. The team are continually looking at ways of improving the service to ensure each child receives total quality care and they always welcome suggestions from parents.

Catering for the needs of children aged 2 months to 12 years on a full and part time basis, the age groups are divided to ensure each child is with others of a similar stage of development. Each room is fully equipped whilst outside a covered patio and hard surface playground provide opportunity for outdoor play all year round. A school delivery and collection service to and from local primary schools and holiday care service is available.

All Little Rays nurseries have been awarded 5 stars from their local health authority for excellent hygiene practice in the kitchen.
