Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team at Ballymena. The ideal candidate will have level 2 or above in Food Hygiene and previous catering experience, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, however full training will be provided.
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious nutritious meals for the children while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment and maintaining our 5* hygiene rating.
This position is for 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and cooking processes.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain an organised kitchen by keeping workstations clean and ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly stored.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service during busy periods.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Completing HACCP paperwork daily
- prepare a 2 course meal daily as well as morning and afternoon snack
Requirements
- Level two or above in food hygiene preferred but not essential
- previous experience is preferred but not essential
